SS9 INVESTMENTS INC. based in Vancouver, BC, is looking for candidates for the position of Cook with 5 vacancies. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to that of permanent employment and a full-time job and it has an approved Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill labor or skills shortages on a temporary basis. The shift will extend from early morning to morning to day to evening to night and the candidate may be required to work in the weekend as well. The candidate may also be required to work on-call.

Requirements:

• The candidate will be required to train staff in the preparation and cooking of food.
• The candidate will also be required to train staff in handling food.
• The candidate will also be required to supervise kitchen staff.
• The candidate will also be required to take note of the helpers.
• The candidate will also be required to manage kitchen operations.
• The candidate will also be required to inspect kitchens.
• The candidate will also be required to look after food service areas.
• The candidate will also be required to clean the kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate will also be required to maintain inventory and records of food and supplies.
• The candidate will also be required to maintain inventory and records of equipment.
• The candidate will also be required to prepare and cook complete meals.
• The candidate will also be required to prepare individual dishes and foods.
• The candidate will also be required to plan menus.
• The candidate will also be required to determine the size of food portions.
• The candidate will also be required to estimate food requirements.
• The candidate will also be required to manage and estimate costs.
• The candidate will also be required to monitor supplies.
• The candidate will also be required to order supplies.
• The candidate will also be required to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

Educational Qualification:

• The working environment will be in an Urban area.
• The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The candidate should also have equivalent experience in the concerned field.
• The candidate should also have a Food Safety Certificate.
• The candidate should also have an experience of at least 1 to less than 7 months.
